Snow Removal Policy

If you live in a Hubbell Community Villa, Brownstone or townhome development snow removal is provided for your development, although there are a few items we would like to bring to your attention. First, snow is not removed from the stoop of your unit. This is the homeowner’s responsibility. Secondly, the snow removal crews cannot remove snow from portions of your driveway if a vehicle is parked there. The crews are instructed not to get near vehicles in driveways. They will not snow blow around a car because this is far too expensive for the association. Lastly, the association does not apply salt or sand to driveways; an ice melt product may be applied to driveways when the weather warrants its use. This is to prevent sand and salt from being tracked into your homes. In order for snow removal to begin, there must be at least 2 inches of snow on the ground. If snowfall continues after 2 inches have accumulated, snow removal may be delayed until there is a break in the snowfall. Our main goal during snowstorms is to keep roads clear and safe for travel as is reasonably possible.
